Spicy Steamed White Fish



The below recipe is super easy & very healthy as steaming food is perhaps the most healthiest way to cook, as the food will retain the majority of its nutrients. 

This fish below will go beautifully with my Egg Fried Rice recipe.

Serves 2      Cost of meal €5

Ingredients
2 pieces of white fish (Cod/Tilapia)
2 devil eye chillis
1 lime
2 Tbsp Fish Sauce
1 inch fresh Ginger
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp Sugar


Cooking utensils

Chopping board
Sharp Knife
Steamer
Small plate
2 Small bowls


Preparation

- Finely chop the chilli, garlic & ginger
 
- Combine with the fish sauce, juice of one lime & sugar and whisk completely
- Wash your fish


Cooking
- In a vegetable steamer place boiling water and cover until the water in boiling again
 
- Place a small bowl and plate in the steamer and put your fish on plate for cooking
- Cover and steam for 4-6 minutes
 

- After the above time remove lid and drain excess liquid off fish. Pour over your combined ingredients from above and cook for a further 2 minutes
 

- Remove from steamer and serve with rice
